Lana, an 8-month-old puppy, is living a happy
life with her human Suelen Schaumloeffel and her fiancé, but life wasn’t always
so good.
Before she had a home, she was roaming the
streets of Brazil as a stray. Thankfully, Schaumloeffel rescued her off the
streets and gave her a forever home, but Lana hasn’t forgotten what it’s like
to be stuck on the streets.
One night, Lana was asleep in her comfy doghouse, equipped with a giant cozy blanket. The next morning, Schaumloeffel’s fiancé was leaving the house for work when he saw something that was completely unexpected, yet so heartwarming.
Lana had dragged her blanket across the lawn to the fence where a stray dog was. Lana was lying on half the blanket, while the other half was draped underneath the fence where the stray dog was lying on it. The fact that Lana was kind enough to share her blanket with a pup less fortunate is something we could all learn from!

“I thought, ‘How beautiful what she did for her friend,'” Schaumloeffel told The Dodo. “My best four-legged friend reminded me of something so important: generosity! She is the nicest little dog I’ve ever met. We forget sometimes the difference we can make in someone’s life. She reminded me of this.”
Schaumloeffel saw the stray dog the day before but she wasn’t sure if he was a stray or not. Whenever she tried to get close to him, he’d run away. But it’s clear that Lana was able to lend him a helping paw! Schaumloeffel left out food and water for the pup and has since gotten him help. All thanks to Lana!
